outreach..

Last week the Jubilee ended on Friday. We heard Loren and Darlene Cunningham speak a few different times, all of which, I was encouraged by their stories, faith, and humility. It is amazing to see what God has done through two ordinary, willing individuals. On Sunday, we had to wave good-bye to the rest of our DTS, as everyone left for their different outreach cities.
My team has spent this week and will be here, in Canberra, next week as well. We're staying on the YWAM base here. We moved into the main building and are staying in different rooms, that remind me of dorm rooms. It's been nice to unpack and have more space. It's been cool to spend time on another base and get to know the people here a bit. They're in a transition between schools here, so its quiet compared to how it usually is, I'm sure. This week we've been doing a lot of evangelism. Tuesday was Australia Day, so there was a big event that the city put on at a park including a free breakfast, music, fun things for kids to do... and in the evening, they had fireworks. There's a mountain nearby that we drove up the other day and had a worship/prayer time; that was cool. Yesterday, we did a random act of kindness and passed out lolliepops with scriptures on them at the mall to the different employees. We got some mixed responses but some people seemed to be really blessed by it. Today we were planning on helping out at a soup kitchen but they ended up not needing help, so we just chatted with different people.

Personally, I would say that I am doing well but I have also been being challenged with stepping out and being bold in evangelism times. If you could keep me in your prayers for this, that would be great! Other prayer requests-- for us to be able to get into schools to speak in Canberra. Many schools haven't started yet so the timings a bit off. We will be doing more ship tour programs when we go to Geelong (its a port city, and the ship will be going there... it won't be coming to Canberra) but please pray for favor with churches and different organizations here in Canberra.

Thank you all!
