G-long!

here we go... i didn't mean to post the previous blank post :)

We left Canberra yesterday morning and got to Geelong (well, actually we're staying in a little town right outside of the city) about 9 hours after departure :P I didn't realize how far we are from Townsville. Check out a map of Australia. Geelong is SO far away from the base up in Townsville! We're staying here in Geelong for the next two (ish) weeks and so far have a busy schedule, this week moreso than next. Our contact, Jeff, here has been fabulous with getting us hooked up. Today, already, we went to two different high schools and tonight have an information night. It's exciting because the ship is actually coming here so it's easier to promote it and raise awareness.

We're about 2 minutes from the beach! Yesterday we jumped in for a quick swim.. such clear water:)
