A summer Christmas!

HA! It's hot! And it's midsummer, but it's December and there is Christmas music, and Christmas decorations, and stockings... hmmm...:)

Nah, it's cool. It is odd but I love it. I'm really excited to be here. The base really pulls together to make it very family oriented; we have a lot of fun activities coming up as a base & as a school.

I just want to update everyone a bit on what's going on. PNG was great, (as stated earlier), and it's been pretty easy getting back into routine here at base, for the most part. We had lectures last week, half a week this week, and also have a few more weeks of lectures early in January, admist the celebrations AND preparations for second outreach..... which leads me to tell you that......

On January 15, we will be traveling as a DTS to Canberra, Australia for the Jubilee! It's YWAM's 50th year celebration; Loren Cunningham (founder of YWAM) is going to be speaking there. I'm stoked!:)

Then our four different outreach teams will be splitting up in different cities in southern Australia, all doing similar things such as:
speaking in highschools, youthgroups, and open community events to bring awareness to the needs in PNG. We are partnering with the Australia and PNG Ship Tour to reach young Aussies and give them opportunities to make a difference in the world around them. In doing so, we are wanting to really touch and impact their young lives, bringing them truth and hope in Christ.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers! I really am stoked for another outreach but at the same time, there is a lot of preparation that needs to be done, while a lot of other things are going on as well. Specifically please pray for peace admist everything that needs to happen, for team unity within our teams, for financial breakthrough and strategy, and for God's heart and vision for this outreach.Your prayers are very much appreciated:)
