so far, so good.

G'day:)

Still enjoying it over here. Continuing to build friendships with not only the other students on my DTS, but also meeting people from the July DTS and staff around the base. This week, like mentioned earlier, we did have lectures but the majority of it was just getting us orientated to YWAM, the base, rules, ect.

Today we had our first real lecture on Hearing God's Voice. I love how the staff and everyone here on the base is just so real. They KNOW they don't have it all together and they are totally going after God anyway. I want to be like that. It's very cool, I think I am really going to enjoy lectures. Today also marked the start of morning excersise, intercession, work duties, and is just our first normal day. We do morning excersise as a way to wake up and so we will be alert for lectures. It can be as simple as going for a walk, or the girls on a few days are able to do pilates if wanted. I think I'll do pilates (or at least try.. haha) and I also think I want to get in the habit of running in the morning. My work duty around base is cleaning the base. I haven't had to do it yet so I'm not sure what all it entails quite yet.

But yeah, just wanted to update everyone. Things are going well so far. Please pray for me to be open to what God wants to do in me. Also, just for patience, humility, and focus on God. I also need to find balance between keeping in touch with you all, building relationships here, and also ME time. Its nice because they give us a block of time each week set aside just to blog, email, skype or whatever and also we have study night each week, where we can't make plans with eachother but instead can work on our journals, workbooks, or whatever. So that will help me out and I'm glad for that.

Last night, we went to the park and played footy (rugby) and a little bit of soccer. It was a lot of fun, I think I started to pick up the game. The other day a group of us hiked up CastleHill and it is just sooo beatiful. We can look over the city of Townsville, so cool. I posted pictures on facebook but need to put them on here, I know. haha no promises as to when I'll get around to that.... just believe me for now, its BEAUTIFUL over here:) hah

Til next time,

Britt
