We got to the base around 10 pm Saturday night. It is currently 9 pm Sunday night. Jet lag wasn't too bad; I couldn't sleep in though. I got to bed last night a bit after one and woke up probably around 6:30. Feeling a bit tired but not too tired. I'll hopefully sleep good tonight:)
I'm rooming with 9 other girls, bunk bed style. I'm on the top. I don't think it'll be too bad. Theres another girl flat with 8 girls and between all 18 of us we share 2 showers, 2 sinks, and 1 toilet....
Everyone seems so so cool so far! Lots of very nice and lots of funny people. There are 37 students total. 26 girls and 11 boys. Lots of Canadians, Americans, few Brits, few Germans, one girl is from Finland and one from Sweden. I'm loving all the accents! I'm having a lot of fun so far!
Today we went to the beach (about a 45 minute walk) and felt like I got to know more people a little bit better. Very fun. There is this free waterpark (children mostly play on it.. haha) but we decided to go on it a bit too.. haha, fun, fun:) Orientation was today so we learned a bit about how things work around base. We had a cool time of worship as well. Lectures start tomorrow but I think for the first week it will be just getting accustomed to what is expected, etc.
Pictures *hopefully soon!
Hope everythings great back home..
lots of love,
Britt--
OH! and I ate kangaroo today! Not too bad, not my favorite...
