We have reached... Australian rainy season!! It poured last night, and off and on today and apparently, may be rainy for the next few months. haha, I like it though:)
Anyway, heres update on my christmas! Their was a christmas eve party that the one family hosted at their house. It was loads of fun! We played board games, wii, and watched Australian Christmas carols. It was a great time of fellowship and celebration:) Lots of laughing and good times!
Christmas morning we ate breakfast as a DTS. A few ladies opened up their house for us to use (cause they went home for the holidays), which was very nice of them.. it felt very home-ie:) and christmas-ie, especially with the air-con:) We had christmas lunch together as an entire base in the auditorium, yum:) Each christmas, everyone who is going to be on base for the holiday has a stocking and then we are able to fill eachothers stockings with candy, encouragements, random things/whatever we want--that was fun to open my stocking. We also played a gift exchange game... I got choco covered almonds, which I downed today:) Christmas night we watched a few movies.. Up, and Home Alone 1 & 2.:)
On Sunday, we went to a national park in Ingham, Australia. It was about 2 hours away from base. It was sweet, we hiked to a river and were able to swim and cliff jump :O
This week we've had lectures on Spiritual Warfare... tonight is the last night of 2009 for this side of the world! Not sure exactly what we're doing yet, but we're doing something as a school:))
